MECHANICAL DESIGN ENGINEER

Mechanical Design Engineer working on high tech Security Systems, an evolving position to engineer and combat ever changing threats to current security systems. Must have 4-5 years Mechanical Design experience with a University Degree underpinning Design knowledge. Based a commutable distance from Gatwick Airport

Within the exciting role, your ability to communicate directly with clients, face to face, phone and email is a primary element of this position. Client site meetings, site meetings and liaison with installation and service engineers is also an integral part to this role.

You will also be required to undertake Project Management of the projects you are assigned; this will include all project lifecycle of design, manufacture, fabrication, commissioning, and installation including work with electrical and control systems department to ensure seamless installation of products.

Requirement to have worked on UK Design standards and be competent and aware of relevant legislation associated with Installations and Building regulations for commercial sites.

Required knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor 3D & Autodesk Vault is also required, all necessary awareness and training will be provided on site.

Project managing the design, manufacture, and all other technical aspects of the project.

Producing 2D AutoCAD site layout drawings for installation of the products.

Producing 3D Inventor models and manufacturing drawings.

· Minimum 5 years of Mechanical Design experience or University Graduate would be considered.

· Minimum Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

· Knowledge in using AutoCAD & 3D Inventor software.

· To be able to work as a team and on their own to meet customer deadlines.

· Project Management skills.

· Full UK Driving License.

Experience preferred:

· Welded Fabrication knowledge.

· Mechanical Drives & Control System knowledge

· Hydraulics System knowledge

· Office based role Gatwick, West Sussex, must be in commutable distance to this location.
