You’ll be analysing the process by which cars are repaired and formulating new procedures, tools, jigs & fixtures design and the adoption of new technology to optimise effectiveness
Identification of best practices undertaken by competitors and the automotive manufacturing sector will also be included so these procedures can be adopted and integrated into current activities
Your analysis and recommendations will be integrated into training plans for new and existing technicians combined with the design of new tools, jigs and fixtures
Your continuous improvement expertise should be from the manufacturing, service or repair sector of automotive, consumer durables, domestic appliances, power tools or similar industries and you must be able to demonstrate a high level of expertise in engineering, manufacturing or complex repair processes
A knowledge of utilising hand tools, power tools and adhesives combined with driving through new best practices will be ideal
This role can be fully remote based from home with regular visits to the Surrey Head Office, nationally based service centres and 3rd party tooling suppliers
