Precision scientific instruments are difficult to design and make. When they have to operate on board an aircraft they become very challenging devices to get right.

You will be responsible for helping them get it right every time.

You will lead a small qualification team undertaking tests and test result analysis to feedback to the engineering design team – Their designs go into production then onto aerospace clients where these devices are expected to last a very long time

The role will be managing staff and hands-on engineering, the best of both worlds and you’ll be involved from product concept through to production

You’ll need to demonstrate a good technical background in mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering with a qualification at HNC, BSc or MSc level

There will be occasional travel to Bristol
