Telecom Systems Design Engineer – Air Platform

Great opportunity to be involved at the start of an airborne 5G platform to provide wi-fi and high speed telecoms solutions to geographic areas without phone signal or wi-fi.

As Senior Telecom System Design Lead for a 5G and broadband Telecoms System, you’ll develop an existing ground tested Telecom system into an operational high altitude platform.

You’ll be integrating the payloads into the Mobile Network Operator (MNO) infrastructure and integrate the payloads into the floating platform.

Deliver telecommunications strategy, deliver and drive product development and roadmap, tracking progress across all development and test stages, enabling successful communications system integration and deployment.

Your experience will be military airborne, ISTAR defence or commercial 4G or 5Gm telecoms design utilising Space Satellites or high altitude platforms for telecommunication applications – similiar to Google – Skybender, Facebook – Magma and MOD – Watchkeeper

You’ll need a BSc, MSc or PhD in Communications, Electronics, Systems Engineering or an RF based subject, ideally to CEng combined with substantial technical experience within complex communications systems for telecoms and 4G/5G
