CNC Machinest to join the Aerospace manufacturing team, the CNC Operator will be setting and operating manual machine tools as well as programming, setting and operating of CNC machine tools to produce components to the required quality standards.

Areas of Responsibility:

* Set and operate manual and CNC machines to manufacture components to technical specifications and quality standards.
* Inspect components produced to the required quality procedures, including 1 st offs, last offs, routines and critical dimensions. Use of conventional measuring techniques will be required.
* Carry out basic maintenance on machine and tools in accordance with TPM programme and machine manuals.
* Deburring of components to required standard is completed within machine cycle.
* Ensure that quality standards are achieved.
* Follow relevant Health and Safety regulations including Risk Assessments, COSHH Assessments, SSW’s arising from RA’s/COSHH and Material Safety Data Sheets.
* Ensure that work is completed in accordance with required work schedules.

Role requirements

* Machine shop experience.
* Able to work to Technical Drawings and specifications.
* Experience of operating/programming CNC machines and tool setting, deburring and milling.
* Experience of being able to inspect components in accordance with quality procedures and standards.
* Good standard of education GCSE’s A-C (or equivalent).
* Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent).

Must be UK resident, must have all work permissions in place and not be an overseas applicant as requires Defence clearance for this role.
